2010 Summer Reading Club

Monday, June 28 to Saturday, Aug. 21

This is a fun summer reading club where children, teens and adults get a chance to read some great books, win some great prizes and participate in some adventurous and exciting activities and programs. Register for the Summer Reading Club beginning on Monday, June 28 to participate in the reading club and to be eligible to win prizes and reading rewards.

Summer Reading Club: Going on a Jungle Safari

Wednesday, July 21, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Youth ages six to 12 can go on a jungle safari and learn how to observe different animals through games crafts and stories from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21 at the library. There is no registration necessary for this Summer Reading Club program. Come and sign up for the club and enter a summer of jungle adventure. Children who complete their reading goals will earn a FastPass to Upper Clements Park and a chance at other prizes.

The Weymouth Branch Library will be closed July 28 to prepare for the official opening at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29.

Summer Reading Club: Safari Surprise

Wednesday, Aug. 4, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Children ages three to five can explore while on safari and learn about different jungle animals, play some jungle games, make some jungle gear and learn some jungle stories from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the library. There is no registration necessary for this Summer Reading Club program. Come and sign up for the club and enter a summer of jungle adventure. Children who complete their reading goals will earn a FastPass to Upper Clements Park and a chance at other prizes.

Summer Reading Club: Monkey Mayhem

Wednesday, Aug. 11, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Monkeys, monkeys everywhere! Children ages three to five can join some monkeys for monkey fun, games, mask making and stories from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the library. There is no registration necessary for this Summer Reading Club program. Come and sign up for the club and enter a summer of jungle adventure. Summer Reading Club: Anansi Adventures

Wednesday, Aug. 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Children ages three to five can join Anansi the Spider for stories, games and spider-making fun from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the library. There is no registration necessary for this Summer Reading Club program. Come and sign up for the club and enter a summer of jungle adventure. Children who complete their reading goals will earn a FastPass to Upper Clements Park and a chance at other prizes.

Summer Reading Club: Jingle, Jangle, Jungle Fun

Wednesday, Aug. 25, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Children ages three to five can make some jungle music, make drums and have some jungle jangle fun from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the library. There is no registration necessary for this Summer Reading Club program. Come and sign up for the club and enter a summer of jungle adventure. Children who complete their reading goals will earn a FastPass to Upper Clements Park and a chance at other prizes.
